The Type 166 featured a streamlined hull, retractable propeller for water travel, and a four-wheel drive system for challenging terrain. Powered by a 1.1-litre Volkswagen engine, it offered reliability and performance in diverse environments, from muddy riverbanks to urban streets. Over 14,000 units were produced between 1942 and 1944, serving on multiple fronts.
