This 1/35 scale ZTZ-99A Main Battle Tank from Toucan Models represents a late production version equipped with the GL5 active protection system. The GL5 system is designed to detect and intercept incoming anti tank threats, adding a prominent and distinctive feature set to the turret layout.

The model accurately reproduces all visible elements of the GL5 system along with the detailed hull, turret and armament of the ZTZ-99A platform. High quality plastic sprues provide sharply defined structural and surface details. Track links are included to allow realistic positioning and improved ground contact for diorama use.

Photo etched parts and clear components enhance fine detail, particularly around sensors and optical devices. The kit also includes a decal sheet with markings used by the PLA 81st Armored Brigade, enabling an authentic modern configuration.
