History

The Hawker Hurricane was a workhorse of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. While often overshadowed by the Spitfire, it was the Hurricane that bore the brunt of combat during the Battle of Britain and proved reliable in various roles throughout the conflict. The Mk.IIc variant, introduced in 1941, featured upgraded armament and a strengthened wing structure, enabling it to carry bombs or rockets in addition to its powerful 20mm cannons.

Serving in multiple theatres including Europe, North Africa and Burma, the Hurricane Mk.IIc took on fighter-bomber, night intruder and convoy escort roles. Its adaptability and ruggedness made it a valuable asset to Allied forces. This large-scale kit brings the distinctive lines and operational versatility of the Hurricane to life in impressive detail.
