History:

The Austrian infantry of the late 18th and early 19th centuries were a central element of the Habsburg military forces during the Napoleonic Wars. Known for their discipline and resilience, these troops faced many of Napoleon’s finest armies across Europe. Their formations and tactical flexibility allowed them to hold critical ground and counterattack effectively. Officers and mounted colonels played key leadership roles, while the infantry’s varied marching and firing poses reflect the dynamic nature of Napoleonic battlefield manoeuvres. This set faithfully captures the essence of Austrian troops during a pivotal period in European history.
