Victrix Plastic Model Figures

French Napoleonic Imperial Guard Lancers (28mm) VX0020

This 28mm hard plastic set from Victrix represents the famous Imperial Guard Lancers of Napoleon’s army—most notably the Polish (in blue) and Dutch (in red) regiments. Renowned for their discipline, effectiveness, and striking appearance, these elite cavalry units served with great distinction in Spain, across central Europe, in the harsh Russian campaign, and at the climactic Battle of Waterloo.

The set includes 12 mounted miniatures with exceptional sculpting, animation, and detail. Designed for maximum flexibility, the figures can also be converted with minimal effort to represent lancers from a range of nations including Prussian, Polish Line, Lancers de Berg, and Russian lancer regiments.

Whether deployed as part of the Imperial Guard or converted for use in allied or enemy forces, this set brings movement, elegance, and battlefield power to your Napoleonic collection. Ideal for painters and wargamers alike.

History:

The Imperial Guard Lancers were among the most iconic cavalry units of Napoleon’s army. Originally formed from Polish troops loyal to Napoleon, the regiment was later expanded to include a Dutch contingent. Known for their colourful uniforms and deadly charges, these lancers fought across the breadth of Europe, gaining a fearsome reputation. Their presence on the battlefield was as much psychological as physical—Napoleon often used them to deliver decisive blows or reinforce faltering lines. At Waterloo, the lancers were among the last units to hold the line, demonstrating the courage and loyalty that defined the Guard. This Victrix set captures their spirit with outstanding detail and pose variety.
