These figures are suitable for conflicts across Europe from the late 12th to late 13th centuries, including the Crusades, the Barons’ Wars, and fighting involving English, French, Spanish, German, and border forces from Wales, Scotland, and Ireland. The equipment reflects developments of the period, including later crossbows fitted with stirrups to improve loading speed and power.

The inclusion of archers wearing gambeson adds further flexibility. These can be mixed with other medieval archer figures to create varied units that feel lived in rather than staged.
