Victrix Pillage Introductory Set

The Victrix Pillage Introductory Set is designed as a complete starting point for learning the Pillage wargame while also adding new components for existing players. This 28mm set brings together Viking and Irish warriors, terrain, objectives, gaming accessories and a 50-page starter booklet in one box.

The set includes four newly created sprues featuring new sculpts, including buildings and wattle fences, alongside a mixed loot frame containing a selection of objects and animals from the Pillage accessories range. It provides everything needed to work through the introductory scenarios and learn the core mechanics of the game on the included double-sided paper playmat.

Vikings vs Irish

The introductory battles pit eight Viking warriors against six Irish warriors. The scenarios have been designed around the different strengths of the two forces. The Irish have greater access to ranged weapons and a powerful Danish axe, while the Vikings have the advantage in numbers but must complete objectives such as stealing cattle while under attack.

Pillage focuses strongly on equipment and objectives rather than simply eliminating the opposing force. The starter booklet provides a lighter introduction to the main rules, teaching the mechanics from the ground up through straightforward scenarios before players move into the broader strategic side of the game.
