History
The Focke-Wulf Ta 152H-1 was Germany’s ultimate piston-engine interceptor of WWII. Based on the Fw 190D series but extensively modified, it featured an elongated fuselage, wide-span wings, and a pressurised cockpit. Powered by the liquid-cooled DB 603 engine and equipped with GM-1 nitrous oxide injection, the Ta 152H-1 achieved remarkable high-altitude performance, reaching over 13,000 m. Despite entering service too late to affect the war’s outcome, it proved highly effective in limited combat engagements. Only a handful were built, but its sleek design and elite role cemented its place in aviation history as one of the most advanced fighters of the era. Zoukei-Mura’s kit honours this Luftwaffe marvel with intricate internal detail and superb engineering fidelity.
