1/16 Scale Model Kits, Tanks and Figures

Explore 1/16 scale model kits featuring large tanks, military vehicles, artillery, equipment and figures. At one-sixteenth of the original subject’s dimensions, these substantial models provide strong display presence and space for clearly represented mechanical features, surface textures, uniforms and equipment.

The category covers subjects from several eras, with a particular emphasis on military vehicles and figures. Available kits can include Second World War tanks, modern armour, utility vehicles, half-tracks, anti-tank guns, military personnel and supporting accessory sets.

Large-Scale Model Tank Kits

1/16 scale tank models are significantly larger than equivalent subjects in common armour scales such as 1/35. Their size can make tracks, running gear, armour surfaces, tools and exterior fittings more prominent, depending on the contents and design of the individual kit.

These kits can become striking standalone display models and provide plenty of scope for painting and weathering. Complexity varies between products, however, so a larger scale does not automatically mean that a kit is easier or more advanced. Check the individual listing for its parts, materials and construction requirements.

1/16 Military Vehicles and Equipment

Alongside tanks, the selection can include armoured personnel carriers, reconnaissance vehicles, utility trucks, trailers, artillery and other military equipment. Accessory sets may provide items such as weapons, fuel containers or vehicle components for use with compatible projects.

When combining a vehicle with accessories or crew, confirm that every product is supplied in 1/16 scale. Matching the scale helps maintain consistent proportions throughout the finished display.

1/16 Scale Figures

Large-scale figure kits offer room for defined faces, clothing, uniforms and personal equipment. The range can include tank crew, infantry, pilots, historical personalities and selected civilian or themed subjects.

Figures can be displayed individually or placed alongside a compatible vehicle. Careful preparation, assembly and painting can help bring out the sculpted features, while the larger scale provides an opportunity to work with highlights, shadows and smaller uniform details.

How to Choose a 1/16 Model Kit

• Select a subject: compare tanks, armoured vehicles, artillery, utility vehicles, figures and accessories.
• Check the era: use the product information to distinguish between WW2, post-war and modern subjects.
• Allow sufficient space: large-scale tanks and vehicles require more construction and display room than smaller models.
• Review the contents: confirm what is included and whether paint, adhesive, tools or additional materials are required.
• Consider compatibility: choose figures and accessories in the same scale when creating a combined display.
