Originally designed in Sweden, the Bofors 37mm was exported and licence-built in several countries, including Poland, Finland, and the Netherlands. It was prized for its lightweight, ease of deployment, and effectiveness against early-war armoured vehicles. This highly detailed model replicates the guns distinctive split-trail carriage and features optional build configurations for travel or firing mode.

Historical Background:

The Bofors 37mm anti-tank gun entered production in the 1930s and quickly gained a reputation as a reliable and accurate light AT weapon. While it became increasingly ineffective against more heavily armoured vehicles as the war progressed, it was widely used during the early stages of WWII, notably by Polish forces during the 1939 campaign and Finnish troops in the Winter War. Germany also captured and reused several examples. Its portability and rate of fire made it ideal for infantry support and defensive operations, and it saw continued use throughout the conflict in various theatres.
