History:
The Wiesel 1 is a German light air-transportable armoured fighting vehicle developed for the Bundeswehr’s airborne troops. Originally equipped with TOW missiles, the platform was upgraded to the MELLS system, integrating the Israeli Spike-LR missile for enhanced fire-and-forget capability. This modernization extended the vehicle’s service life and improved its effectiveness in modern combat scenarios.
