This decal includes lettering suitable for serial numbers. It also includes titles for Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Army, Royal Marines, Air Support Command, Signals and Far East in various sizes.
For best results, apply the decals to a gloss surface. The sheet has an overall varnish, so each individual letter must be cut out separately.
Soak the required decal in warm water until it releases from the backing paper. Wet the area where the decal is to be applied with Micro Set to help eliminate trapped air and assist with positioning.
After 5 to 10 minutes, apply Micro Sol to soften the decal and help it settle over surface detail. Allow the decal to dry for at least 12 hours. Some wrinkling may occur during this time, which is normal. Do not touch the decal while it is drying.
Once dry, check carefully for small air bubbles. If any are present, prick them with a needle and apply a drop of Micro Sol. When all air bubbles have been removed and the decals are completely dry, wash the model with water to remove any excess decal adhesive.
Once fully dry, the model can be finished with a flat, satin or gloss varnish as required.
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, dampness and extremes of temperature or humidity.
