1/72 Boats & Submarines

1/72 Boat and Submarine Model Kits

Explore our range of 1/72 boat model kits and 1/72 submarine model kits, featuring detailed naval subjects for modellers who enjoy larger scale builds. The 1/72 scale offers an excellent balance between size and detail, allowing manufacturers to reproduce deck fittings, hull features and interior details on many subjects.

Whether you’re looking for a 1/72 scale boat, a 1/72 model ship or a highly detailed submarine, this category brings together kits suitable for display, super-detailing and weathering projects.

Why Choose 1/72 Scale?

1/72 is one of the most popular scales in modelling, making it an excellent choice for naval subjects as well as aircraft and military vehicles. The larger size allows for finer moulded detail and offers plenty of scope for adding aftermarket accessories, photo-etched parts and realistic weathering techniques.

Many modellers choose 1/72 scale because it provides an impressive finished model without becoming unmanageable to display.

Popular 1/72 Naval Subjects

This category may include a variety of maritime subjects, including:

  • 1/72 submarine model kits.
  • 1/72 U-Boat model kits.
  • Patrol boats and fast attack craft.
  • Rescue vessels and work boats.
  • Historic and modern naval subjects.
  • Civilian and specialist marine craft.

Many visitors arrive looking for a 1/72 U-Boat, while others are searching for larger 1/72 scale model boats or 1/72 ship model kits. Whatever your interest, 1/72 scale offers excellent opportunities to create highly realistic naval models.

Take Your Model Further

Large-scale boat and submarine kits provide an ideal foundation for advanced finishing techniques. Adding subtle paint effects, washes, dry brushing and weathering can help bring hull plating, deck details and equipment to life.
