The HydroCast Value Refill provides a generous supply of Alumilite’s sustainable mineral-based casting compound, ideal for frequent makers and larger projects. Using the same simple 3:1 mix ratio of casting compound to acrylic hardener, HydroCast cures into a smooth, stone-like material with an attractive natural matte finish. It captures fine textures beautifully and is suitable for everything from décor pieces to functional handmade items.
The blend can be enhanced with pigments or terrazzo-style chips, and finished with paint or sealants for a customised look. HydroCast sets quickly, so a steady workflow helps achieve the best results. If the mixture thickens after sitting too long, adding a small amount of catalyst will help restore its workable consistency before pouring.
