History:

The Nissan Skyline KHGC211, commonly known as the ‘Skyline Japan’, was introduced in 1977 as the fourth-generation Skyline. Its nickname came from Nissan’s advertising slogan “Skyline for Japan,” reflecting national pride in the model. The KHGC211 featured a boxier, modern design compared to its predecessors, and was available in several trims including sporty GT versions. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, many Skylines became popular platforms for extreme customisation in Japan’s emerging Kaido Racer and Grand Champion scenes. These cars were modified with wide overfenders, deep front spoilers, flashy paint schemes, and low stances, embodying a rebellious and flamboyant style that has since become legendary. Today, the Skyline Japan KHGC211 remains an icon both as a classic performance saloon and as a canvas for Japan’s unique automotive subcultures, influencing custom car builders around the world.
