History:
The Hawker Hurricane Mk I was the backbone of the RAF during the early years of WWII, proving itself during the Battle of Britain in 1940. Built by Hawker Aircraft and powered by the reliable Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, the Hurricane was praised for its sturdy airframe and pilot-wise handling. Though later overshadowed by the Spitfire, it accounted for the majority of RAF air victories and remains a celebrated symbol of British defense.
