Display Cases for Scale Models, Model Cars and Miniatures

A completed model deserves somewhere suitable to be displayed. Our model display cases are intended for modellers looking to present finished scale models, model cars, miniatures and other carefully built projects while helping to keep them protected from everyday dust and handling.

Choosing the right display case can make a noticeable difference to how a finished model looks. A well-matched case gives the subject its own defined display space and allows the details of the build, paintwork and finishing to remain visible. Whether you are displaying a single model car, a miniature collection or a larger scale model, it is important to check the available case size against the completed dimensions of your model before ordering.

Model Display Cases for Finished Builds

Model display cases are a practical choice for completed projects that would otherwise remain exposed on a shelf, desk or cabinet. They can be used for many types of finished model, including subjects from our wider range of scale model kits.

When selecting a model case, allow enough room around the finished subject rather than matching the case too closely to the model’s exact length and width. Extra clearance can make the display feel less cramped and may also provide space for a base, nameplate or small scenic setting where appropriate.

Model Car Display Cases

A model car display case can provide a cleaner and more focused way to present a completed vehicle. This may be useful for individual scale model cars, larger automotive builds or a growing collection where each model needs its own space.

Searches for model car display cases often include a particular scale, such as 1/8. Scale alone, however, does not guarantee that every model will fit the same case. The finished length, width and height can vary considerably between different vehicles, even when they share the same scale. Always compare the model’s completed measurements with the internal space offered by the selected display case.

Cases for Miniatures, Ships and Larger Models

Display cases can also be useful for miniatures and naval subjects. A model boat or ship may require a longer case with suitable clearance around masts, fittings or a display stand. Modellers working on subjects from our boats and ships range should check the complete assembled dimensions rather than relying only on the scale shown on the kit.

For larger models, consider both the footprint of the finished build and the space available where the case will be positioned. A large model display case may need a deeper shelf or display surface, so checking both the model and the intended location beforehand can help avoid choosing a case that is unsuitable.

How to Choose the Right Model Case

Before choosing a display case, measure the finished model at its longest, widest and tallest points. Include any stands, aerials, propellers, wings, masts or other parts that extend beyond the main body of the model. It is also worth considering how the model will be placed into the case and whether you want additional space around it for a less crowded presentation.

Browse the available display cases and compare the listed details carefully to find an appropriate option for your model, miniature or vehicle display.
