Gecko Models Plastic Model Kit

British ATMP with Ammo Pallet (1/35) 35GM0017

This 1/35 scale Gecko Models kit offers a detailed recreation of the British Army’s All-Terrain Mobility Platform (ATMP) with an accompanying ammunition pallet. The ATMP is a lightweight, highly mobile vehicle used extensively by British forces for transporting equipment, ammunition, and personnel across difficult terrain, from the Falklands to Afghanistan. Its low profile and six-wheel drive make it ideal for tactical support roles in demanding environments.

This kit captures the unique structure and function of the ATMP, featuring sharply moulded components, crisp suspension details, and a well-proportioned load bed. The included ammo pallet adds a layer of operational realism, suitable for dioramas depicting logistics, artillery support, or field supply operations. The wheels are fully detailed, with treaded tyres and rugged hubs, and the chassis includes accurately modelled undercarriage components.

  • Includes detailed ammunition pallet with cargo detail
  • Highly detailed 6×6 chassis with suspension detail

History

The Supacat ATMP (All-Terrain Mobility Platform) has been a quiet workhorse of the British Army since the 1980s. Originally developed for airborne forces, the ATMP’s compact size and excellent mobility allowed it to be air-dropped or carried within transport aircraft and helicopters. Over the decades, it has proven indispensable across numerous conflict zones, from the Balkans to Helmand Province. Designed to carry up to 1,600kg of equipment, it was often used for ferrying ammunition to artillery units, casualty evacuation, and as a mobile support vehicle for infantry and engineers. Its simplicity and ruggedness made it reliable in extreme environments, and its unique six-wheel configuration allowed it to maintain mobility in terrain that would stop larger vehicles. The inclusion of an ammunition pallet reflects one of its most common battlefield roles—reliable logistical support.
