The Hasegawa AH-64E Apache Guardian is a highly detailed 1/48 scale plastic model kit of the latest generation of the world’s most capable attack helicopter. This special edition includes newly tooled components and photo-etched metal parts to accurately reproduce the advanced AH-64E together with an optional AH-64D Block II Late configuration.

Containing 330 precision-moulded parts, the completed model measures approximately 367mm in length with a rotor diameter of 305mm. New components recreate the distinctive sharp-tipped main rotor blades and redesigned engine pods with upward-facing exhaust outlets, while the included photo-etched parts provide finely detailed exhaust fins and cooling intake covers for an even more realistic finish.

The comprehensive decal sheet includes markings for U.S. Army AH-64E aircraft 29027, together with two AH-64D Block II Late aircraft, 77028 and 77029. Combined with Hasegawa’s excellent fit and crisp moulding, this kit produces an outstanding replica of one of the most advanced combat helicopters in service today.

History

The Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian is the latest evolution of the famous Apache attack helicopter, featuring improved engines, composite rotor blades, upgraded avionics and advanced digital communications. Designed to operate in demanding combat environments, it can engage armoured vehicles, fortified positions and airborne threats using Hellfire missiles, rockets and its powerful 30mm chain gun. The AH-64E also incorporates enhanced networking capabilities and the ability to control unmanned aerial systems, making it one of the most advanced attack helicopters in service. Operated primarily by the United States Army and numerous allied nations, the Apache Guardian continues to play a vital role in modern battlefield operations.
