Hasegawa Plastic Model Kit
Hasegawa J35F/J Draken (1/48) HAPT41
The Hasegawa J35F/J Draken is a highly detailed 1/48 scale plastic model kit of Saab’s iconic double-delta interceptor, one of the most distinctive fighter aircraft of the Cold War. This versatile kit allows you to build either the J35F or the upgraded J35J variant, offering an excellent representation of Sweden’s famous supersonic fighter.
Hasegawa accurately reproduces the Draken’s unique aerodynamic design with finely engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit, realistic landing gear and sharply moulded airframe components. The ram air turbine and tail wheel for landing are both represented in the deployed position, adding extra realism to the finished model. Three decal options are included, allowing you to build aircraft from F10 Wing in both classic green camouflage and later grey camouflage schemes.
The kit provides markings for J35F-2 aircraft “10-06” of No.3 Squadron, F10 Wing, together with J35J aircraft “10-39” of No.2 Squadron in grey camouflage and “10-52” of F10 Wing in green camouflage. For those wishing to display the aircraft fully armed, Hasegawa recommends the separately available Aircraft Weapon C America Missile Set (X48-3) for the underwing Sidewinder and Falcon missiles.

History
The Saab J35 Draken entered Swedish Air Force service in 1960 as one of the world’s first operational supersonic fighters to feature an advanced double-delta wing. Designed to defend Sweden’s airspace during the Cold War, the Draken combined exceptional speed, high-altitude performance and short-field capability. The later J35F introduced improved radar and missile capability, while the J35J upgrade extended the aircraft’s operational life with modernised avionics and improved reliability. Remaining in Swedish frontline service until the late 1990s, the Draken became one of Europe’s most recognisable Cold War fighters and was also exported to several other nations.
Glue and paints are sold separately.
