Hasegawa F6F-3/5 Hellcat (1/72) HAB11
The Hasegawa F6F-3/5 Hellcat is a highly detailed 1/72 scale plastic model kit of one of the most successful carrier-based fighter aircraft of the Second World War. This versatile kit allows you to build either the early F6F-3 or the improved F6F-5 variant, both of which played a decisive role in securing Allied air superiority across the Pacific.
Part of Hasegawa’s popular B Series, the kit includes finely moulded plastic parts, clear canopy components, high-quality waterslide decals and an illustrated assembly and colour guide. Multiple options for weapons and undercarriage configuration allow you to personalise your finished aircraft, while Hasegawa’s renowned tooling provides crisp engraved detail and excellent fit throughout the build.
The compact 1/72 scale makes the Hellcat an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced aircraft modellers. Whether displayed as a carrier-based fighter or alongside other Pacific War aircraft, it captures the rugged appearance and combat effectiveness of this legendary naval fighter.

History
The Grumman F6F Hellcat entered service with the United States Navy in 1943 and quickly established itself as the dominant Allied carrier-based fighter in the Pacific Theatre. Designed specifically to counter the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, the Hellcat combined rugged construction, powerful armament and excellent handling characteristics. The F6F-3 formed the backbone of U.S. Navy fighter squadrons during the middle years of the war, while the improved F6F-5 introduced enhanced visibility, increased armour protection and greater ground attack capability. Together, the two variants accounted for more than 5,000 aerial victories, making the Hellcat the highest-scoring naval fighter of the Second World War.
Glue and paints are sold separately.
