Hasegawa Sea Harrier FRS.1 (1/72) HAB05
The Hasegawa Sea Harrier FRS.1 is a highly detailed 1/72 scale plastic model kit of the famous Royal Navy V/STOL (Vertical/Short Take-Off and Landing) fighter. Developed specifically for carrier operations, the Sea Harrier FRS.1 became one of Britain’s most successful modern combat aircraft, earning legendary status during the Falklands War.
Part of Hasegawa’s popular B Series, this kit features finely moulded plastic parts, clear canopy components, high-quality waterslide decals and an illustrated assembly and colour guide. Multiple options for weapons and undercarriage configuration allow you to build the aircraft in different operational roles, while Hasegawa’s precise tooling provides crisp surface detail and excellent fit throughout.
The compact 1/72 scale makes this an ideal addition to any collection of British military aircraft or Falklands War subjects. Whether displayed clean or fully armed, the Sea Harrier’s distinctive shape and vectored-thrust design make it one of the most recognisable jet aircraft ever built.

History
The British Aerospace Sea Harrier FRS.1 entered Royal Navy service in 1980 as a fleet air defence fighter capable of operating from small aircraft carriers using its unique vertical and short take-off capability. Powered by the Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine with vectored thrust, the Sea Harrier demonstrated remarkable flexibility and combat effectiveness. It achieved worldwide recognition during the 1982 Falklands War, where Royal Navy pilots secured air superiority with an outstanding combat record against Argentine aircraft. The Sea Harrier continued serving with the Fleet Air Arm until it was eventually replaced by the more advanced FA.2 and later the F-35B Lightning II.
Glue and paints are sold separately.
