Italeri 1/35 Dodge WC54 Ambulance

This Italeri 1/35 scale plastic model kit recreates the Dodge WC54 Ambulance, one of the medical and rescue versions of the American Dodge WC family of military transport vehicles. Widely used during the Second World War, the WC54 combined a 4×4 configuration with an interior specifically designed for transporting wounded personnel.

The completed model measures approximately 14.1 cm long and includes decals for both US and French Army versions. Its WWII subject and medical role also make it particularly well suited to period dioramas and military vehicle displays.

WWII Military Ambulance

The Dodge WC range was produced on a large scale by American industry during the Second World War and helped meet the logistical requirements of the US Army across the different fronts of the conflict. The 3/4-ton Dodge WC vehicles became some of the most widely produced American military vehicles of the period.

Among the numerous WC variants, the WC54 was developed for medical and rescue duties. Its 4×4 configuration allowed it to operate across difficult terrain while carrying casualties between front-line areas and field hospitals positioned behind the front.

Purpose-Designed Medical Interior

The full-size WC54 featured an interior designed around casualty transport. It could accommodate up to four stretchers or carry multiple wounded soldiers in a seated position, giving the vehicle the flexibility required for its medical role.
