The Toyota Land Cruiser has long been regarded as a benchmark in off-road vehicle design, and this Italeri kit captures the character of one of its most iconic variants. Developed by Toyota Motor Corporation in the 1950s, the Land Cruiser became the company’s longest-running model line, evolving steadily in design, engineering, and capability while maintaining a reputation for durability and reliability.

Among the many versions produced over the decades, the J-40 series stands out as a true classic. Built from the 1960s through to the 1980s, it featured a simple, functional design that prioritised strength and ease of maintenance. Available in short, medium, and long wheelbase configurations, including the commercially successful J-44, the Land Cruiser was offered with both diesel and petrol engines to suit different global markets.
