Matho Models Large Yellow Number Waterslide Decals
Matho Models 80027 provides an A6 sheet of large yellow waterslide number decals in three different heights. The sheet includes 8mm, 10mm and 15mm digits, providing a useful choice of larger yellow numbers for scale modelling projects. Each height is clearly identified on the sheet, making it straightforward to select the required size.
The decals are suitable for all scales and feature separated film, allowing individual numbers to come away one by one without the need to cut precisely to their edges. Their ultra-thin construction helps the decals adapt well to different surfaces, while the semi-matte finish provides a controlled appearance. High-definition printing produces crisp results, with accurate and colourfast yellow printing.
Three Large Number Heights
The A6 sheet contains yellow digits in three heights: 8mm, 10mm and 15mm. Having three clearly identified sizes on the same sheet makes it easy to choose a digit height to suit the individual design. The selection covers a useful progression from 8mm through to the largest 15mm numbers.
These Matho Models number decals are suitable for all scales, allowing the required digit height to be selected according to the needs of the modelling project.
Applying the Yellow Number Decals
Cut out the required decal with a sharp knife, then place it in water for approximately 5 to 10 seconds to loosen it from the carrier paper. Gently slide the digit into position using tweezers. Decal softener, such as Micro Set and Sol, can be used for better adhesion, particularly when applying the decal to non-flat surfaces.
Once the number is positioned, use tissue paper and apply light pressure over the decal to remove excess water or decal softener and fix it in place. Varnish can then be airbrushed over the decal for protection. Semi-matte or matte varnish can be used to reduce glare if required, followed by the usual weathering process to blend the yellow numbers into the finished design.
