Matho Models 1/35 Wooden Liquor Crates

Matho Models 35131 is a 1/35 scale detailing set containing 16 wooden liquor crates featuring various liquor brand designs. Printed together on a single A5 sheet, the crates are produced on very thick paper to create a realistic appearance when assembled and added to a scale modelling project.

The inside surfaces are printed with a wood texture as well as the exterior designs. This allows the finished crates to be displayed open while retaining printed detail on the visible interior. Each crate is supplied as an A part and a B part, which are cut out, folded along the indicated bend lines and glued together.

16 Liquor Crates in Two Sizes

The set includes small and large crates. The small crates measure 1.6 x 1 x 0.9cm, while the large crates measure 2.9 x 1.7 x 1.1cm. These Matho Models detailing accessories combine the two sizes with a selection of liquor brand designs on one A5 sheet.

The top lid can be cut away when an open crate with a separate lid is preferred. Plasticard can also be added to the inside if you want to give the individual planks a thicker appearance. The printed wood texture on the interior remains visible when the crate is displayed open.

Preparing and Assembling the Crates

For clean edges, cut out the A and B parts using a sharp knife and steel ruler. To make folding easier, gently run a knife over the indicated bending lines using a steel ruler as a guide. The lines should be scored lightly rather than cut through, helping to produce clean, sharp bends before the two parts are glued together.

After assembly, exposed white paper edges can be lightly painted in a matching colour to blend them with the printed design. With 16 crates, two different sizes, various liquor brand designs and printed wood-texture interiors, the set provides detailed 1/35 scale crates that can be assembled and displayed either open or closed.
