This 1/72 scale UH-1D Medivac from MisterCraft represents the medical evacuation version of the famous Huey helicopter. Equipped to carry stretchers and medical personnel, the UH-1D played a vital role in battlefield casualty evacuation, particularly during the Vietnam War.
The model reflects the classic single engine fuselage, two blade rotor system and spacious cabin that allowed the Huey to operate effectively in both transport and rescue roles. History
The Bell UH-1 entered service in the late 1950s and became synonymous with helicopter operations during the Vietnam War. In medivac configuration, it dramatically improved survival rates by rapidly transporting wounded personnel from frontline positions to field hospitals.
Beyond Vietnam, the UH-1D served with numerous armed forces including Germany and Spain, remaining in operation for decades in medical and support roles.
