Mr Hobby Spray Cans, Primers & Clear Coats

Mr Hobby spray cans include surface primers, clear coats and finishing sprays for plastic scale models. The range covers Mr Surfacer, Mr Finishing Surfacer, Mr Super Clear and Mr Topcoat products, giving modellers options for preparing surfaces and applying the final finish to a painted model.

Choose from primers in black, grey, white, mahogany and oxide red, alongside clear finishes in matt, gloss and semi-gloss. Aerosol sizes vary across the range, including 86ml, 88ml and 170ml cans.

Mr Surfacer and Mr Finishing Surfacer Primers

Mr Hobby’s surfacer sprays are used to prepare model surfaces before painting. They help provide a consistent base and make it easier to identify small imperfections that may need attention.

The range includes Mr Surfacer 1000 and 1200, together with Mr Finishing Surfacer 1500 in black, grey and white. Mahogany Surfacer 1000 and Oxide Red Surfacer 1000 provide alternative base colours for different painting projects.

Mr Hobby Aqueous Black Surfacer 1000 is also available as a 170ml spray, providing another primer option within the range.

Mr Super Clear Matt, Gloss and Semi-Gloss Sprays

Mr Super Clear aerosol varnishes provide different finishing options for painted scale models. Choose Mr Super Clear Gloss for a reflective finish, Flat for a matt appearance or Semi-Gloss for a finish between the two.

The range also includes Mr Super Clear UV Cut in gloss and flat finishes, along with Mr Super Clear Smooth. These 170ml sprays offer options for the final stages of a modelling project.

Mr Topcoat and Premium Topcoat Sprays

Mr Hobby Topcoat sprays are available in gloss, flat and semi-gloss finishes, supplied in 86ml aerosol cans. The Premium Topcoat range offers the same finish choices in 88ml cans.

These clear coats allow you to select the surface appearance required for your finished model, from a matt military vehicle to a glossy painted body or a subtler semi-gloss finish.

Choosing the Right Mr Hobby Spray Can
