The Perry Miniatures FRE2 set expands French forces for the Franco-Prussian War with a collection of infantry figures posed for active combat. Designed for 28mm historical wargaming, the figures capture French soldiers engaging the enemy during one of the most important conflicts of the late nineteenth century.

The Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871 marked a significant turning point in European military history. French infantry relied heavily on the Chassepot rifle, one of the most advanced service rifles of its era, giving French troops excellent long-range firepower. This set is designed to represent soldiers making full use of these weapons in firing positions suitable for battle scenes and tabletop gaming.

The figures are ideal for creating firing lines, defensive positions and skirmish screens. Their dynamic poses help bring battlefield formations to life while providing variety across larger units. Combined with advancing, marching and command sets from the Perry Miniatures Franco-Prussian War range, the figures allow players to build historically inspired armies representing many of the major engagements of the campaign.
