Perry Miniatures Russian Napoleonic Uhlans 1812-14 (28mm) RN105

The Perry Miniatures Russian Napoleonic Uhlans set represents the distinctive lancer regiments of the Imperial Russian Army during the latter stages of the Napoleonic Wars. Armed with long lances and renowned for their effectiveness in cavalry actions, Russian Uhlans played an increasingly important role during the campaigns of 1812 to 1814 as Russia pushed Napoleon’s armies back across Europe.

Prior to 1812, the Russian Army fielded six Uhlan regiments. Following the French invasion of Russia, an additional six regiments were formed from existing Dragoon units, significantly increasing the number of lancer formations available to Russian commanders. These cavalrymen took part in many of the major campaigns that followed Napoleon’s retreat from Moscow and contributed to the Allied advance into France.

This set contains 14 mounted cavalry figures and offers multiple assembly options. The Uhlans can be assembled charging with lowered lances for dramatic battlefield action or with their lances held upright while manoeuvring across the battlefield. The flexibility allows units to be customised to suit a variety of gaming and display requirements.

The box also includes numerous spare lance arms and scabbarded swords, providing additional conversion opportunities for modellers. These spare components can be used with other cavalry figures to expand army projects or create unique unit variations. The set works particularly well alongside the Perry Miniatures Allied Cavalry boxed set, allowing players to create larger Russian cavalry formations and even build Prussian Uhlan units using combined components.
