Revell Plastic Model Kit
Focke-Wulf TL Jager Flitzer – P-Series
This 1/72 scale kit from Revell represents the Focke-Wulf TL Jager “Flitzer”, an experimental Luft ’46 jet fighter concept developed during the final stages of the Second World War. Although the aircraft never entered production, its advanced design has made it a popular subject among aviation enthusiasts and modellers.
Part of the 1/72 aircraft model kits range, this set includes paints, glue, and a brush, allowing builders to start construction straight from the box.
- 1/72 scale plastic model kit
- Includes 38 parts
- Part of the Revell P-Series concept aircraft range
- Includes paints, brush, and glue
- Distinctive twin-boom jet fighter design
- Decals and illustrated instructions included
The model captures the unusual appearance of the Flitzer, with its compact fuselage, wing root air intakes, and twin tail boom layout. Its smaller part count makes it manageable to build, while still offering enough detail for careful finishing and painting work.
As the aircraft never progressed beyond the prototype stage, the kit also offers flexibility for creative finishing and alternative camouflage interpretations.
History
The Focke-Wulf TL Jager “Flitzer” was an experimental jet fighter proposal developed by Germany during the later years of the Second World War. Intended as a high-performance interceptor, the project explored aerodynamic concepts beyond those used in earlier operational jet aircraft.
The aircraft featured a compact fuselage combined with twin tail booms and wing-root air intakes, giving it a highly distinctive appearance compared to other wartime German designs. The Flitzer was intended to compete with aircraft such as the Messerschmitt Me 262 while pushing performance even further.
Although development progressed to the stage of a full-scale wooden mock-up, the project was eventually cancelled in 1945 as Germany focused its limited resources on other advanced aircraft programmes.
Today, the Flitzer remains one of the best-known Luft ’46 concept aircraft, representing an alternative path in the development of early jet fighters and speculative aviation design.
