The kit includes detailed ejection seat options with or without moulded harness straps, alternative seat handles, optional engine cowlings, and underwing rockets for the RAAF “Hailstorm” aircraft option. One or both Derwent engines can be displayed installed in the aircraft or separately on the included maintenance trolleys, allowing for a highly detailed maintenance or operational display.
The Gloster Meteor F.8 was the definitive production version of Britain’s first operational jet fighter and served with numerous air forces during the late 1940s and 1950s. Its twin-engine layout, straight wings, and robust construction made it an important transitional aircraft during the early jet age, seeing service in Europe, the Middle East, and the Korean War era.
