History:

The T-26 was one of the most important Soviet tanks of the 1930s, derived from the British Vickers 6-Ton design. Produced in large numbers, it played a key role in the early years of the Second World War and saw extensive combat during the Spanish Civil War, the Winter War against Finland, and the German invasion of the Soviet Union. Lightly armoured but versatile, the T-26 provided valuable experience that influenced later Soviet armoured development. Although obsolete by 1941, it remained in service during the desperate early stages of the conflict. Today, the T-26 is remembered as a significant step in Soviet tank history, with surviving examples preserved in museums worldwide.
