History:

Entering service in 1944, the Tiger II—Königstiger to German crews—was designed to dominate with thick armour and the powerful 88mm KwK 43 L/71. It outmatched most Allied tanks at range, but its weight and complexity limited production and strained reliability. Deployed in small numbers on both Eastern and Western Fronts, it became an icon of late-war German armour. Today, surviving examples and countless scale replicas keep the legend of the Tiger II alive for historians and hobbyists alike.
