History

The Leopard 2A6 is a modernised variant of the German Leopard 2 family, featuring an extended 120mm L/55 main gun for increased range and accuracy. It also incorporates improved turret armour and battlefield electronics. Entering service in the early 2000s, the 2A6 has seen deployment in NATO exercises and has been exported to several allied nations. It is renowned for its mobility, advanced fire control system and protection against both kinetic and chemical energy threats. The Leopard 2A6 remains one of the most respected and capable MBTs in global service.
