British E Class Destroyer (1/700)
Previously available only as part of a set with the HMS Hood (Item 31806), the Tamiya British E Class Destroyer is now offered separately, allowing naval modellers to create accurate flotilla displays or pair it with other vessels from the Tamiya 1/700 Waterline Series for an impressive diorama.
The British E Class destroyers were built in the early 1930s to safeguard vital shipping lanes across the British Empire. The nine ships in the class—Exmouth, Echo, Eclipse, Electra, Encounter, Escapade, Escort, Esk, and Express—were launched in 1934 and saw extensive action in major naval engagements during WWII.
