Victrix Plastic Model Figures

Spartan Armoured Hoplites (28mm) VXA002

This 28mm hard plastic set from Victrix depicts the elite Hoplites of Sparta and the surrounding Laconian region from the 5th to 3rd Century BCE. These warriors were among the most feared infantrymen of the classical world, playing a decisive role in the wars with Persia, the Peloponnesian War, and conflicts with Athens, Thebes, and other rival Greek city-states.

The set includes 48 intricately sculpted figures, with historically accurate features that capture the unique Spartan appearance. One key design detail is the separate long hair piece, which plugs into the back of the head—faithfully reflecting the Spartan tradition of wearing their hair long in battle. You’ll find a range of body and head options, spear and sword arms, as well as round shields to equip your phalanx.

Whether you’re building a display army or recreating the phalanxes of Plataea, Delium, or Mantinea, this kit provides all the elements needed for a realistic and visually striking Spartan force. The set is fully compatible with Little Big Men Studios transfers for further visual enhancement.

History:

The Spartan Hoplite stood at the centre of Laconian military tradition—a professional soldier from a warrior society. From Thermopylae to the Peloponnesian War, these men trained rigorously from youth in the agoge system, mastering phalanx warfare and discipline. Armed with the aspis shield and dory spear, and clad in bronze and red cloaks, Spartans inspired fear and admiration throughout the Greek world. Their long hair, worn as a symbol of pride and readiness for battle, became part of their feared image. This Victrix set brings the formidable precision and heritage of Sparta to your tabletop with exceptional detail and customisation.
