Zimi Model Plastic Model Kit

ACV-P Amphibious Combat Vehicle (1/35)

The ACV-P (Amphibious Combat Vehicle, Personnel) represents the next generation of US Marine Corps amphibious armour, developed to replace the long-serving AAV7. Designed for modern high-intensity amphibious and littoral operations, the ACV-P combines strong maritime stability with capable off-road mobility and improved crew protection. It is intended to operate seamlessly from ship to shore and continue inland without interruption.

This kit depicts a vehicle that is already in active service, regularly taking part in operational deployments and large-scale training exercises. As a result, it stands as one of the most representative modern amphibious armoured vehicles currently fielded by the US Marine Corps.

  • 1/35 scale plastic model kit
  • Only injection-moulded ACV-P kit currently available in this scale
  • Accurately researched exterior proportions and armour layout
  • Advanced slide-mould technology for complex shapes and clean detail
  • Clear, logical parts breakdown for an efficient build
  • CNC-machined brass gun barrel included as standard

History

The Amphibious Combat Vehicle programme was launched to modernise the US Marine Corps’ ageing amphibious fleet, which had relied on the AAV7 since the Cold War. Operational experience highlighted the need for improved survivability, mobility, and reliability in contested littoral environments. Developed to meet these requirements, the ACV-P introduced a wheeled platform capable of operating effectively both at sea and on land.

Unlike earlier tracked vehicles, the ACV-P offers enhanced speed, reduced maintenance demands, and improved crew protection while maintaining full amphibious capability. Its introduction marks a significant shift in Marine Corps doctrine, reflecting the realities of modern expeditionary warfare and the increasing emphasis on rapid, flexible force projection from sea to shore.
