British Royal Air Force Hawker Hunter F.6 “Black Arrows” Jet Aircraft (1/48)

The Hawker Hunter F.6 was an advanced variant of the iconic British jet powered fighter aircraft developed by Hawker Aircraft in the 1950s. Introduced in 1956, the F.6 featured a more powerful Rolls Royce Avon engine, a redesigned wing to reduce drag and improve stability, and tailplane modifications for better high speed performance. Known for its speed, agility, and dependable handling, the Hunter F.6 served with the Royal Air Force and several allied air forces as both an interceptor and a ground attack aircraft.

The F.6 variant was famously flown by the RAF’s aerobatic display team, the Black Arrows of 111 Squadron. In 1958 they set an unmatched record by performing a formation loop with 22 Hunters. Their large scale precision formations and skilful displays made the team a symbol of British aviation excellence and helped cement the Hunter’s status as one of the finest jet fighters of its era.
