History

The Avro 504 series became one of the most significant British aircraft of the early twentieth century. During the First World War it was produced in large numbers for military service, with the Avro 504K becoming the Royal Air Force’s standard training aircraft. Its reliable handling and versatility saw many examples remain in service into the 1930s, giving the design an operational career spanning almost three decades.
