GreenStuffWorld Tyres and Hubcaps Silicone Mould

The GreenStuffWorld Tyres and Hubcaps Silicone Mould creates detailed tyre and hubcapped wheel pieces in two sizes. Carefully carved for clear, thorough results, it is suitable for dimensional casting and surface imprinting.

The mould has a large 6 x 12cm working area and is made from high-quality food-grade silicone. Its flexible, durable construction is heat-resistant up to 240 degrees C and designed for easy use across resin craft and modelling projects.

Two wheel and tyre sizes

The mould contains patterns for separate tyres and hubcapped wheels. A complete moulding can create:

• 8 tyres measuring 12.5 x 4.2mm
• 8 hubcapped wheels measuring 12.5 x 4.2mm
• 5 tyres measuring 18 x 5mm
• 4 hubcapped wheels measuring 18 x 5mm

This selection provides two different sizes and a choice between tyre-only pieces and complete hubcapped wheels. The detailed patterns make the mould useful for creating repeated components for modelling, craft and decorative projects.

Suitable for resin casting

The silicone mould works with different types of resin, with acrylic resin highly recommended. Fill the required patterns and allow the resin to dry completely before removing the finished pieces.

Waiting until the material has fully dried helps the detailed tyres and hubcapped wheels retain their moulded shape during removal. The flexible silicone supports the release of completed parts once they are ready.

Compatible with modelling putties

Other materials can also be used, including Milliput, Milliput mixed with Plasteline, Magic Sculpt and similar modelling putties. These thicker materials are more difficult to use than resin and require careful filling of the detailed pattern.

A flexible steel scraper is recommended for removing excess putty or clay from the mould surface. Its flexibility allows surplus material to be cleared without damaging the silicone.

Durable, heat-resistant silicone

The mould combines an intricately cut design with a durable silicone construction. Its 6 x 12cm surface provides room for multiple tyre and wheel patterns, while heat resistance up to 240 degrees C broadens its practical use with suitable casting materials.
