The mould allows repeated creation of concrete brick details for projects across the 1:48 to 1:35 scale range. The deep brick pattern supports dimensional cast pieces as well as imprinted surface designs.

Its large working area measures approximately 2.5 x 5 inches, or 6 x 12cm. This provides a substantial patterned surface for producing brick detail within a single moulding area.

Flexible, durable silicone construction

The mould is made from flexible springy silicone that supports the release of completed brick details. Its durable construction is heat-resistant up to 240 degrees C.

The silicone is both food-grade and resin-grade. It can work with a variety of moulding materials, including acrylic resin, and is particularly well suited to liquid resins.

Choosing a casting material

Liquid resins are recommended for filling the deep brick pattern. Their flowing consistency helps them enter the detailed recessed areas of the mould.

Other putties may also work, including Milliput, Milliput mixed with Plasteline, Magic Sculpt or similar materials. Because the bricks are deeply formed within the pattern, these thicker materials may need additional help to fill every area.

Removing excess material

A flexible steel scraper is recommended for clearing excess putty or clay from the mould. This allows surplus material to be removed from the surface without cutting the silicone.
