Primers for Scale Models and Model Kits

Prepare your next project with model primer paint from leading scale-modelling brands. This collection includes acrylic primers, primer surfacers, microfiller primers and etch primer, with black, grey and white options available in a choice of useful sizes.

Primer for Plastic Models and Model Kits

Applying a primer creates a consistent foundation before the main colours are added to a model. It can make the surface easier to assess during preparation and provides a uniform base for the stages that follow. Choosing a suitable primer colour can also help you plan the overall finish of your project.

Grey model primer is a versatile choice for many colour schemes, while black primer provides a dark starting point. White primer offers a bright base that works particularly well beneath lighter or more vivid colours. With all three popular options represented in this category, you can select the foundation that best suits your intended finish.
