The Ta 152C was a development of Focke-Wulf Fw 190 series fighter aircraft. Designed as a high-altitude, high-speed day fighter/interceptor, it was big, sleek and more powerful than its predecessors. The prefix was changed from “Fw” to “Ta” to recognise the contributions of Kurt Tank who headed the design team. The Ta 152 C-1: Small wing, armed with one engine-mounted 30 mm MK 108 cannon and four MG 151/20 cannons (two above the engine and two in the wing roots.)
