05157, WWI Battleship SMS Konig
Launched in 1913 and commissioned in 1914, the Konig was the first of four dreadnoughts of her class manufactured for the Imperial German Navy. She famously took part in the Battle of Jutland in 1916, sustaining heavy damage, was involved in a mutiny in 1918, interned at the end of WW1 and scuttled on the orders of the German Navy in 1919 at Scapa Flow, where she still rests. Revell’s detailed model can be built as a full-hull or waterline version, with finely molded wood decking, detailed superstructure, lifeboats, rotating gun turrets and rigging line. A display stand is also included.
