History: The Elefant Sdkfz 184 originated from the Porsche Tiger project and was converted into a heavy tank destroyer after the chassis proved unsuitable as a main battle tank. With its thick frontal armour and 88mm Pak 43/2 gun, the Elefant was nearly invulnerable from the front. However, its lack of mobility and mechanical reliability limited its effectiveness. Despite these issues, it remained a formidable weapon during battles on the Eastern Front, especially at Kursk in 1943.
