History:
The Crusader Mk.III, introduced in 1942, was the final evolution of the Cruiser Mk.VI series. Designed for mobility and speed, the Mk.III was equipped with a more powerful 6-pounder gun, improving its performance against German armour in desert warfare. It served with British forces across North Africa and into Italy, offering a balance of manoeuvrability and firepower. Though eventually phased out in favour of heavier tanks, the Crusader played a pivotal role in early Allied armoured engagements.
