The Bell AH1 Cobra is a combat helicopter produced by American manufacturer Bell Helicopter in the 1960s. It is considered to be the first true combat helicopter and was first used in the Vietnam War. Originally designed as a transport chopper, it was dubbed the “Cobra” to indicate its new status as a heavily-armed attack helicopter.
