Tamiya Plastic Model Kit
Dax Honda Export 70 (1/6)
Named for the unmistakable shape of its frame, the Honda Dax Export 70 is recreated here by Tamiya in an impressive 1/6 scale. First released in 1969, the Dax combined clever engineering with everyday practicality, resulting in a compact motorcycle that was easy to transport, simple to ride and surprisingly versatile.
The model accurately captures the distinctive T bone frame that fully encloses the fuel tank, along with the compact proportions that defined the original machine. Thanks to the large scale, mechanical features and moving components are given room to shine, creating a build that feels both playful and mechanically engaging.

History
The Honda Dax was introduced in the summer of 1969 and quickly became known for its unconventional frame design, which resembled the body of a dachshund dog. Its clever construction enclosed the fuel tank within the frame, while a removable front section allowed the bike to be transported easily in a car or truck.
Powered by a reliable four stroke OHC single cylinder engine derived from the Honda Super Cub, and paired with a three speed transmission, the Dax earned a reputation for simplicity, durability and affordability. These qualities made it an ideal entry point for new riders and helped secure its place as one of Honda’s most characterful small motorcycles.
