History:
The T-72 Ural was introduced in the early 1970s as a cost-effective, robust, and powerful successor to earlier Soviet tanks like the T-62. Developed by Uralvagonzavod, the T-72 became one of the most widely produced and exported tanks of the Cold War era. Its low profile, thick composite armour, and 125mm smoothbore gun made it a formidable opponent on the battlefield. Over time, numerous variants were developed, and the T-72 saw service across many nations and conflicts, from Eastern Europe to the Middle East. Its combination of mechanical simplicity, firepower, and ruggedness ensured its longevity, with modernised versions still in use today.
